SEDITION LABS

Agents, models, workflows and second brains for the music industry.

Sedition Labs is an independent AI studio. We design and build custom systems for record labels, artists, management companies and publishers, then keep them running.

What we build

Four kinds of system. Most clients end up with more than one, wired together.

Agents

Agents

Software that works across your tools on its own and hands the decision to a person when it should.

  • A&R scouting against your signing criteria, across streaming, social and live data
  • Release checks on metadata, artwork specs, credits and delivery dates
  • Inbox triage for managers: offers, holds, avails and routing
  • Research briefs on an artist, brand or promoter before the meeting

Models

Custom and fine-tuned models, trained only on data you own or have the rights to use.

  • Catalog tagging by mood, genre, tempo, instrumentation and lyric theme
  • Sync search that understands a brief written in plain language
  • Forecasts for streams, ticket sales and merch
  • Writing models tuned to your voice for bios, pitches and press

Workflows

Automation between the systems you already run, with checks at every step that matters.

  • Royalty statement ingestion and reconciliation across distributors and PROs
  • Tour advancing and settlements
  • Release plans that update calendars, assets and teams as dates move
  • Weekly reporting that assembles itself

Second brains

A private memory for a company or a career. Contracts, threads, split sheets, demos and notes, searchable in plain language, with sources.

  • Ask when an option expires and get the clause back
  • Artist notebooks that link voice memos, lyrics and demos
  • Onboarding built from everything the company already knows
  • Hosted on infrastructure you control

Our own tools

We make instruments too. Both run in a browser tab with nothing to install, and both take instructions in plain language.

01 / Browser DAW

Sedition DAW

A fully featured digital audio workstation that runs in the browser. Launch clips, arrange a track, design sounds and mix it down, then tell it what to change in plain words.

  • Session view for launching clips and scenes, and an arrangement timeline
  • Synths, samplers and a drum rack, with audio and MIDI effects
  • Return tracks, sends and sidechain compression
  • MIDI input, key and scale tools, and shareable projects
  • Ask Sedition: “sidechain the bass to the kick” edits the session for you

02 / Agentic groovebox

FiveOhFive

A browser emulation of the Roland MC-505 groovebox, synthesised in real time. Ask the built-in agent for “a 4-bar acid house track at 126 BPM” and it writes the notes, picks the patches, sets the effects and presses play. Every change it makes can be undone.

  • Eight parts and a 96 PPQN pattern sequencer with piano roll and TR-REC
  • 32 preset patterns, 103 patches and 15 rhythm sets, all synthesised
  • Arpeggiator, RPS, Megamix, D-Beam and turntable stop
  • 25 multi-effects plus reverb and tempo-synced delay
  • Web MIDI, MIDI file import and export, and WAV rendering
  • Uses your own Anthropic API key, stored only in your browser

How we work

  1. Map

    2 weeks

We spend two weeks inside your operation, find where the time and the risk sit, and come back with a plan and a fixed quote.

  2. Build

    6–12 weeks

Short cycles, with your team using the system from the first week. Nothing ships until it has been tested against your own data.

  3. Run

    Ongoing

We host, monitor and improve what we built, or hand it to your team with full documentation.

Fixed terms

  • You own the code, the prompts and the models.
  • Your data never trains anyone else's model.
  • Nothing touches an artist's voice, likeness or work without their written consent.
  • A person signs off on anything involving money or credits.
